Clueless is about a teenage girl named Cher, who is trying to find some form of romance in her high school years. She soon makes friends with a new girl named Tai, who Cher tries to set up with someone to show off her skills. Tai later gets set up with Cher’s ex-stepbrother Josh. As time moves on, we see how she begins to have issues, with friends, Josh, and deciding what she really wants.
Mean Girls is a film about a teenage girl named Cady, who had just moved to America from Africa. She is attending high school for the first time, as she had always been home-schooled before. At the beginning, she meets two true friends, Janice and Damian. These friends help her to understand the groupings that are set up in high school, and they warn her to not go near the “Plastics”, a group of popular girls at the school.
The Breakfast Club is a film about a group of students who all get called into detention. Each one of these students comes from a different background: a popular girl, jock guy, weird girl, rebel guy, and nerdy boy. During these long hours of being stuck in the same classroom together, they begin to find things they have in common, and they start to reveal things about themselves. Throughout this, they are able to all become friends, and understand the point of view of other stereotypes.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is about a teenage boy named Charlie. Charlie is struggling as a freshman in high school, and finds it hard to make friends. He battles difficult mental health conditions, and loneliness as well. His life begins to turn around when he meets two seniors, named Patrick and Sam. They invite Charlie into their friend group, when he begins to learn the reality of what high school is actually like. They help Charlie try to be happier, and battle his past trauma.
Nothing More to Tellis a mystery book by Karen McManus. The book is about how a teacher named Mr. Larkin who was mysteriously killed in the woods. Four years after the event, Brynn, one of Mr. Larkin’s students, decided to investigate the event. After tirelessly finding as much as she can, she stumbles upon the killer, and it’s someone that nobody expects. This is an enjoyable book. I do not like romance and all that stuff, but it is still a 4.2 out of five.
